BaShare: Easy Instant File Sharing Solution for Linux

If you want to share a single file over the LAN or Internet and do not want to mess with apache or any http daemon, BaShare is the best and easiest solution for you.You can share any file with 2 single clicks over IM, LAN or whatever you want.It has a very friendly gui (but i do not like its GUI) and you can send large files very quickly.




 
Installation :
Go to BaShare's download page and download the latest Ubuntu Package.(I have tested it on Ubuntu Jaunty and Karmic Koala) and install it via double clicking the .deb file.


Usage :
You can run BaShare via BaShare.gambas command or Applications > Internet > BaShare

You can customize port number and switch between LAN/Internet via right clicking BaShare icon, which is located at system tray after running it, and select "Net Settings".When you are ready to send a file, just click the BaShare icon at system tray and select your file.Then you can copy the link and send it to your friends.When you close BaShare window, you stop sharing that file!
